A new, ingenious device called the “Cubed Stapler” is available
for this upcoming school year from www.grassrootsstore.com.
Not often do you hear ingenious and stapler in the same sentence
(and how is this green!!) but this little device cuts little fl aps in
the corner of the paper, folds the fl aps back and then tucks them
into a tiny slit. And there you have it – a non-staple staple!! This
becomes green when you consider that worldwide, in a one year
period, there is more than a billion tonnes of steel that is used to
make staples. Imagine, a billion tonnes of steel saved every year
– how green is that.
